FILM AND MEDIA 2011/LONDONICITY 2011: Some Appreciations
We are most grateful for the invaluable support we received for FILM AND MEDIA 2011 and LONDONICITY on the part of the more than 250 Speakers and Delegates from 40 nations who made the launch event not only so intellectually rich and varied, but also so delightfully collegial.
On behalf of the organising team, thankyou so much for your friendly and inspiring input - we look forward very much indeed to seeing you again in 2012 if not before! Here are some of the kind comments we have received since the close of the event - they are truly much appreciated!
LONDONICITY 2011 was one of the best experience of my academic career. I really ejoyed learning so many things about London and meeting a lot of people from around the world.

I just want to thank you for putting on such terrific conferences. I had several wonderful conversations with other speakers which resulted clarifications of certain concepts within media representations that I am working on. I ran from one conference to the other with gleeful delight and met many others who have also said that it was a fabulous experience and I especially loved the Michael Tracey and Yasmin Alibhai-Brown plenary to end the conferences. Thank you so so much for all of your efforts.

Your conference was a great success in my opinion. FILM AND MEDIA 2011 attracted many academics who also possessed strong industry experience. This is a rare combination in academic film/media conferences. For once, I had plenty of 'academic/filmmaker' colleagues to talk with at length!
