Your Stay in London: Accommodation and Travel
Please note that the Conference is non-residential and that Speakers and Delegates are kindly requested to make their own arrangements for accommodation in London.
We recommend staying close to the conference venue to cut down on travel time and additional travel costs.
Within close proximity to the Conference venue in and around the University quarter of Bloomsbury, a wide variety of accommodation is available in hotels, guesthouses, University halls of residence, and 'bed-and-breakfast' ('b&b') establishments.
Areas within walking distance of the conference venue include Bloomsbury, Camden Town, Euston, Fitzrovia, Holborn, Soho, and St. Pancras. Cheaper accomodation may be found further afield.
It is always a good idea to consult a travel forum such as Tripadvisor to check what other travellers have thought about their accommodation!

You might prefer to make your own totally independent arrangements for accommodation. If so, please bear the following in mind.
You should book early, as visitor accommodation fills up quickly as the Summer approaches. As it is the University's summer vacation, good offers can often be found in student halls of residence throughout the area.
A wide range of cheap accommodations is available on the sites named below at the time of writing (Autumn 2015).
- search London accommodation on the Internet using search terms such as 'hotel', 'hostel', or 'b&b' ('bed-and-breakfast');
- check the exact location by using a good map of London (for example, search www.maps.google.co.uk);
- check transport links using the various resources - maps, ticket-prices, etc - available from Transport for London (TFL) at www.tfl.gov.uk;
- ALWAYS check reviews by previous users!
